History

Sri Lakchmi Narasimha Temple is located in Ahobilam, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Ahobilam Narasimha Temple is situated on the Upper Ahobilam at a distance of 8km from Lower Ahobilam.  Ahobilam is primarily famous for the Sri Vaishnava Vadakalai religious institution established here 600 years ago. This religious order, called Sri Ahobila Muth, was established by Sri Athivan Satakopan in the temple of Lord Lakshmi Nrisimha (Narasimha), an incarnation of Vishnu, in Ahobilam.
