History

Sri Gnana Saraswathi Temple is located in Vizianagram town. Many of the people come from vizianagaram district, srikakulam district and some of the border areas of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa. In this temple Sri Saraswathi Devi situated with dhanvantari, Sapta Medha Gana, Lakshmi devi and Bhuvaneswari devi Sahita Saraswathi Devi. A large number of people are expected to perform ‘Aksharabhyasam’ for their children at Sri Gnana Saraswati temple in Vizianagaram on the occasion of Vasanta Panchami on February 4. Vasanta panchami festival signifies the awakening of new joy and the end of gloomy days and ignorance.
